Short and longer-term Counselling / Psychotherapy in Ipswich
I believe there is no single approach that is appropriate for each client in all situations. The training I have received has given me a broad understanding of the main schools of counselling & my integration draws from theories which help to address psychological difficulties, for example, anxiety (social and generalised), depression, low mood, obsessive-compulsive disorder and trauma.
After our initial contact by phone or email (no fee is charged for this service), I offer an in-person consultation (or by telephone or video) to further discuss your requirements and to get a sense of how we might work together. Clients usually attend regular weekly fifty-minute sessions, arrangements can be either short or long-term, and there are progress reviews with either option. I endeavour to provide a confidential service at every stage of contact, from your initial phone or email enquiry, the consultation and subsequent sessions. Concessions are available for those who are experiencing financial difficulties, low waged, senior citizens and students, please ask.
If you are in crisis, please contact your GP, go to your local A & E, contact 111, the Samaritans or Lifeline.
In-person sessions postponed:
Counselling practice: I normally work from a comfortable practice in central Ipswich, IP1 2QA and should you arrive early for your consultation/session there is a waiting area with refreshments. For a wheelchair user or those with mobility impairments, there is a ramp to the main entrance and lift access to the second-floor counselling room. My counselling practice is within easy reach of Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Colchester. There is parking nearby and good links with public transport.
